About CWSA

Commonwealth Women’s Soccer Association
Established, 1982
Richmond, VA

The CWSA league began in the early eighties when a handful of volunteers and soccer enthusiasts had a vision to “build a league of our own.” Now, over 30 years later, the league is still run by volunteers and is one of the most competitive adult women’s league in the area.Commonwealth Women's Soccer Association Mission

Like the women’s game itself, the league has evolved from a varying level of play into a more structured, organized and beautiful game. Many women who play in our league today grew up playing organized soccer, while others are athletes from other sports who are somewhat new to the game. Our league prides itself on being VERY inclusive to ALL skill levels, and we encourage EVERYONE to come out and participate!
